More Blog Writing Tips for This and That
If you internalize what you know about your small business and fail to communicate the details on your blog, you may be missing an opportunity. Here are some tips about blogging and avoiding the nouns this, that, and let's add it. This simple lesson should help your blog writing become a more effective tool for reaching out to new customers.
First, it's time to confess. I catch myself making this very mistake, and have been more conscientious about how I present information on this blog to my readers. As part of proof reading your content, look for the infamous and non-descriptive words "this", "that", and "it". As the author, you know what they mean. Your readers may not share your in depth knowledge about your topic, so help them out.
Try rewording each instance of this, that, and it with more descriptive words that are terms relative to your product or service. These very generic terms do not communicate your small business as well as words specific to what you do, and although they may relate to something already stated, your meaning may only be obvious to you.
It isn't necessary to eliminate the words this, that, and it entirely as long as you replace as many as possible with key words about your small business. Review some of your blog posts and it's likely you will find weak spots for just this reason.
